Why are scanners so large? And why don't they come in wand form? Oh, they do?

I’m having trouble with the scanner, and I know you people deal with this kind of thing.

So I grabbed the scanner from the copy room and took it to the local public library. They have all the back issues of People Magazine, so I was going to scan them to read on my phone. But it turns out the cord isn’t long enough to reach the periodicals section of the library, so I had to carry the magazines to the scanner itself. Please fix by attaching a longer cord. Also, I had to bring my desktop computer to transfer the files onto, which was a hassle, so please also make it so I can store files on the scanner itself. Or just email them to me. I don’t know, I’m not technical, just make it work.

Also, the librarians were getting angry about the amount of noise coming from the scanner, and from me dragging the computer around. I told them I’d submit an IT request to you guys, but they were still angry, so if you could talk to the local library employees, that’d be great.

Please resolve this as soon as possible. I’m almost done with the few issues of People I was able to scan. I know you guys can be slow at processing requests, but this is your job.
