What is this detecting the slight chance that a laser like bounces off the shiny car next to you and hasn't hit you yet? in which case the cop already decided you weren't going as fast as the other car and shouldn't be pulled over.. Just curious
I have actually been lasered several times and luckily I have the X50 Blue display model.
In my experience, here's what I think goes down sometimes: the cop will shoot you with laser, gets his instant reading, let's say it's 92 in a 60 with relatively dense traffic, he may think "that doesn't seem right." and re-laser you to check your speed again. It may then read 72, which he will then check again, just to be sure, and it may register 68 (the ol' "8 or under, you're fine, 9 and over, you're mine!" rule), and you go on your merry way. The first hit gives you time to brake immediately upon hearing the extremely loud and alerting laser alert, bringing your speed to, let's say.. 72. You get it. No ticket. (And yes, this has happened to..a friend.. on multiple occasions, otherwise I'd not have the 'knowledge.')
