The original Tron did surprise me when I saw it in 1080p. The design looked like it had gone full circle from cool to dated and back around to a bizarre but fascinating choice again.

It was only 2K, like what, 16 years ago? I remember all that stupid hysteria about the breakdown of society due to computer glitches and such.

I can't imagine even *living* until 3K, much less watching a movie in 4K.

everyone in Hollywood has very, very bad skin. You can see everything in 4K, I am not sure if the actors snotty nose is supposed to add to the realism or was missed by the editor? cool though. Life of Pi was very immersive in 4K UHD.

Just like 3D, it's overhyped, overpriced technology. A gimmick to jack up the price of and sell more Blu-Ray players.
