Here’s an explanation of refurbished/recertified that may help.

It means it left Klipsch and came back to them (in this case, because the warranty is theirs). They tested it (and repaired it, if necessary). Now they are selling it again.

It does not necessarily mean it was broken, but that's a decent assumption. It could have been returned by someone who changed his or her mind, or has a new iPhone, or something like that.

Since, unlike a lot of the iDevices Woots sells, this is actually a manufacturer refurb, and the warranty is a full year, I would not hesitate to buy it.

In fact, I think I am going to get one for the bedroom.

i got this last time woot offered it, and i'm throughly impressed with the sound-- especially for it's size.. and i'm a bit of an audio elitist.

"Don't use this: to hold a bunch of papers together. That's a clip, not a Klipsch."

FYI - Sean Connery pronounces the plural of clip as "klipsch".

I bought one of these last year from Woot, and it is one of the best purchases I have made in years.

The sound is very clear and the bass is incredible. You have bass even in the lowest volumes. You also do not get that hissing noise so prevalent in other devices.

For my money, this is the best little unit to play your iPod or iPhone that you can buy.

Anyone else break out their bad Connery impressions after reading this? I know I did.

Yes. My wife uses this all the time with her iPhone.

If the IPHONE you want to connect uses this adapter- it will NOT work:

According to the specs this uses the 30 pin adapter

you could use something like this

or this

My best advice, though, would be to rid yourself of the Apple device. Go with Android so you don't have to deal with all the proprietary Apple junk- and you'll have a better device to boot.

Does this charge the device too?

Yes, it charges iPhone/iPod Touch.

I've had one of these for over a year, really like it and would buy again. It sounds great, good bass, etc from a small device.

The only annoyance is that when something is plugged into the Aux input (I plug my computer output into this) you *cannot* turn it off to mute the sound. When you hit the power button, it goes off for a second and then "helpfully" realizes that sound is coming in the aux port and turns itself back on.

There is a mute button on the remote (which I can never find) but not on the unit. I've learned to live with this quirk, but it's hard to imagine designing a "smart" power button that refuses to leave the device off!

Not true unless you have a couple year old iphones/ipods
